Aims
St. Andrew’s School offers 11+ Scholarships with the aim of attracting high quality applicants who excel academically and/or in sport, music or art.
Our scholarship provision is designed to attract boys and girls of outstanding talent and skill in a variety of fields. We value scholarship of all sorts. Through the excellence of our academic provision and our facilities we aim to foster high achievement.
The
Scholarships
There are up to five scholarships available annually and the top academic scholarship is named after the School’s founder, R W Robertson-Glasgow.
All awards are made on merit which is determined chiefly by the candidate’s performance in the relevant examination. The Governing Body of St. Andrew’s School has agreed to limit the merit component of awards to a maximum of 5% of the fees. All applicants may apply for a bursary, calculated on the basis of financial need and subject to annual financial review. If an additional bursary is sought, parents of candidates must submit a confidential statement of financial circumstances. The value of all bursaries and awards granted on the basis of need is subject to annual review through a confidential means test. Forms may be obtained from the Bursar.

Eligibility
Applications are invited from boys and girls from all schools, including St. Andrew’s. Candidates must be under 12 on 1st September 2013. The relative age of candidates is taken into account in assessing their performance and potential.
