A Caring Community
In the quietest corner of our school stands our small Chapel. Here is the centre of the spiritual life of the school.
Pre-Prep children attend services on special occasions and Main School pupils attend a short service once or twice each week. There are often visiting speakers, and the Chapel Choir presents a weekly anthem. The service usually includes a Bible reading, and Christian values are reinforced.
So far as social education is concerned, we work hard to create a caring community. Much stress is placed, through the various parts which go to make up the organization of pastoral care, on learning to live together and on the need for kindness and consideration in one’s dealings with others. Along with this goes appreciation of each other’s strengths and weaknesses. The school is actively involved in charitable events for the benefit of disadvantaged children, and we support the work of two schools overseas.
The easy mixing between the age groups and, of course between boys and girls is evidence of a fundamental aspect of the school’s overall ethos.
All members of the school adhere to a published Code of Conduct.
