When it comes to choosing a school for your child, we understand how important it is that you make the right decision. The list below is designed to encapsulate some of the things that make a St Andrew’s education unrivalled locally:
Our outstanding education enables children to achieve their academic potential. A forward-thinking curriculum and outstanding teaching deliver excellent results. Pupils consistently gain their first choice of senior schools, with a large percentage awarded scholarships to the leading schools in the country.
Outstanding pastoral care:
We are proud of the fact that St Andrew’s is renowned for providing the very highest level of pastoral care from Nursery through to Year 8. All children benefit from the availability of flexi boarding, with access to matrons and staff on-site at all times. The School’s most recent ISI report particularly celebrated the School’s pastoral strength and caring, inclusive community.
All round education:
As part of an opportunity-rich education children enjoy a wide variety of music, sport, performing arts and clubs. The School has an impressive record of sporting and musical achievement. They are currently British Schools' Orienteering Championships and the Chapel Choir has sung Evensongs at Salisbury and Winchester Cathedrals.
We teach girls and boys together from 3 - 13 and believe wholeheartedly in the academic, social and developmental benefits of co-education.
From offering early morning drop off and late club, we support working families as much as we can. There are no lessons on Saturdays, giving families time together and a break from the daily routine. We also offer flexi and weekly boarding from Year 3 upwards, to help children prepare for boarding at their secondary schools and to provide an extra layer of support for busy families.
The great outdoors:
Children enjoy very active school days, participating in everything our 54 acre site has to offer. Whether they are climbing trees, den building or creating fires at forest school, being outside (and getting muddy) is definitely seen as a very good thing at St Andrew’s!
